The system contains current information about products set-up in each distribution center, the concepts to which they’re actively being sold, current contract prices and distributor mark-ups. A simple comparison of this information to each weekly distributor order guide generates an exception report of discrepancies. These discrepancies can either require manual intervention for review and adjustment, or this process can be automated.
Order guides can be edited to be consistent with CATALOG & COMMUNICATE. To maintain correct pricing, a notification can be generated to alert distributors to any changes and request that they adjust their internal systems to reflect the correct information.
